These Hot Pink Zebra Stripes cake pops were for a teenager girl’s birthday party! Her mom requested hot pink cake pops with black drizzle that was similar to zebra stripes!
Of course, it would’ve been painstakingly difficult to individually paint on zebra stripes, so we went with a more subtle, less time-consuming design… just black candy melts drizzled over the top!
My favorite tool for doing “drizzles” are plastic bottles that have a nozzle that works with frosting tips…
… like these Fox Run Icing Bottles! I melt the chocolate, use a funnel to put it into the bottle, then use a small round frosting tip on the end. Then it’s super easy to drizzle the chocolate over the cake pops… or anything else!
Half of these cake pops were chocolate cake, half were vanilla cake. I mixed the cake with vanilla buttercream, then dipped them in white almond bark colored with pink candy coloring (if you didn’t know, you cannot add regular gel colors to white almond bark, candy melts, white chocolate etc., it will seize up!). I used Wilton black candy melts for the drizzle!
And that’s it! Do you have any questions about these cake pops? Please leave them in the comments and I’ll do my best to answer and help out!
