Back in November of last year, I was asked to make cupcakes with Make-Up & Purse Cupcake Toppers for a little girl celebrating her 9th birthday!

I searched (with Swagbucks) and found several cupcakes to use as inspiration and I settled on these from Flickr as what I really wanted to imitate:

I made lipsticks…

…eye shadows…

…nail polishes…

… and then some with “9” for her birthday age…

…and “E” for her name!

These were vanilla cupcakes with vanilla buttercream.    The decorations were all homemade marshmallow fondant and Satin Ice Black Vanilla fondant.

I used the Funky Alphabet Tappit cutters to do the numbers and letters and some hot pink sugar on those toppers!

What do you think?   Do you have any questions about these cupcakes?  Let me know in the comments… I absolutely love comments!!

Hey Rose! These are super cute. How did you get the sugar to stick to the edges? I tried to doing this before and it was a MESS! Obviously I wasn’t using the right kind of “glue” cause yours looks adorable.

It does! Appreciate all your information, and stories. I had a cake-trastrophy this past weekend and had to remind myself it’s just cake and we all have those days!
