Description

Perfectly grilled burgers are juicy, flavorful, and surprisingly easy to make with a few simple techniques. This easy grilled burger recipe shares five game-changing hacks for making the best hamburgers on a gas grill, charcoal grill, or pellet grill every time. Whether you’re grilling fresh ground beef for a backyard BBQ, summer cookout, holiday gathering, or an easy weeknight dinner, these tips will help you season, shape, and cook burgers with a perfectly browned crust and a tender, juicy center.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 packet dry onion soup mix
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon garlic salt

Instructions

  1. Mix together all ingredients in a bowl. It’s best to do this with your hands 🙂
  2. Divide the mixture into 10-12 patties.  Use the back of a spoon to make an indention in each patty.
  3. Let them come to room temperature for 20-30 minutes.
  4. Place on a hot grill.  Cook for 6-8 minutes before flipping. You’ll know it’s time when the burger easily releases from the grill and the juices have started to accumulate in the patties.
  5. Flip over and cook another 3-5 minutes.  Biggest tip: ONLY FLIP ONCE.  And don’t smush them down – that dries them out!
  6. Serve immediately.
