I shared this Baby Onesie Baby Shower Cake on Facebook yesterday and thought I’d quickly share a few details about it. I did this cake many many months ago and as happens sometimes, it got lost and overlooked in the thousands of pics on my hard drive.
I carved it from a 10″ square cake then covered the cake in vanilla buttercream and then light blue homemade marshmallow fondant. To get the shape, I did a Swagbucks image search for a baby onesie template, then printed one out and used it as a guide.
I remember being actually pretty sad that all of my “babies” are too big for me to actually have a onesie in the house anymore 🙁 Anyway…
I used a stitching tool to do all of the stitching around the sleeves, legs, and letters.
I hand-cut the car, but used Alphabet Cookie Cutters from BrownCookie.com to do Mason’s name. I absolutely love those letters!!
For the buttons, I think I used this Wilton Silicone Mold (if not, I used something very similar… I have a few different ones).

And that’s all, I think! This cake took less than an hour to put all the details together and it is just so darn stinkin’ cute! Do you have any questions? Let me know in the comments!
