Today I thought I’d give you a little peak into my non-cakey life and my kids back to (home)school picture. I have been a little frustrated lately – everywhere I look, people are talking about cooler weather and Fall everything. Well, somebody forgot to notify Mississippi. It’s still been incredibly hot here almost every day (93°F today… HOT!!)!
But just in case things change, I’ve been really encouraging the kids to get out and enjoy the last days of warm weather for the year! To make our days a little brighter and the
warm hot weather a little more tolerable, the kids and I have been enjoying Outshine Fruit Bars! They’re especially awesome in this heat!
I love that the Outshine Fruit Bars are made with real fruit or fruit juice and No GMO ingredients. The kids love that they’re cold, delicious and refreshing! They’re a win-win for everybody!
Oooh, and if you like these bars, you must check out their Instagram feed! There are some fantastic ideas for other ways to enjoy these sweet treats! (hello? dipped in chocolate!!)
Anywho… even though I don’t personally love this hot weather, this end of summer weather is still perfect for playing on the trampoline, splashing in the creek and riding bikes!
Today they were outside playing and it occurred to me that I forgot to take the traditional “first day of school” picture so I decided I’d bribe them with a cool treat to get them to all sit down for me. Don’t judge me – I’m seriously outnumbered here!
Too bad I couldn’t get them all to look at the camera. But at least it captured the kids smiling, right? Mostly?
Having six kids, I’ve learned that I’m never going to get the perfect picture all the time, but sometimes the candid snapshots are the best ones anyway. Like this:
Even though he’s a little fuzzy around the edges, this picture perfectly captures Christian’s bright, always smiling personality! I didn’t get individual pictures of all the kids but here are some pics of the other kids that I loved…
Asher was so funny… he wanted to jump and he wanted to finish his Outshine Fruit Bar! He finally realized he couldn’t manage both so he got down to finish his snack!
And Sarah wanted our dog Pepper in the pictures. Pepper is the sweetest dog ever, but she might have gotten in trouble with the kids when she wanted a bite of their Outshine Bars too 😉
So that’s that… a few snapshots from our day. Remember to live life brighter every chance you get! If you’d like to try Outshine Fruit Bars, you can find out where to buy them here.
