Description

This easy turkey pot pie recipe turns Thanksgiving leftovers into a cozy dinner, with a creamy filling baked in a flaky pie crust. Just 20 minutes of prep!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 3 sweet onions, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Start by adding your onions and olive oil to a large pan. Cook on medium-high heat until tender and caramelized.
  2. To the pan, add your sugars, vinegar, salt, and pepper. Bring to a rolling boil.
  3. Continue boiling for 3 minutes, and then bring down to low heat. Continue cooking until the mixture thickens. About 10 minutes in, drop some of the mixture onto a cold plate, then allow it to cool. When it’s thick like jam, it’s time to remove it from the heat.
  4. Divide into mason jars and let cool to room temperature. Serve and enjoy! You will want this on every charcuterie board.

Notes

  • Store in the refrigerator in an airtight container for about 2 to 3 weeks, or freeze in an ice cube tray for up to 3 months.
  • This is a refrigerator jam and is not tested for water bath canning.
