Notes

  • Chiffonade is a simple cutting technique used to slice fresh herbs or leafy greens into thin ribbon-like strips. It’s most commonly used with basil leaves and gives dishes a pretty presentation while helping distribute fresh flavor evenly throughout salads, pasta dishes, soups, and appetizers. To make a chiffonade, stack the leaves, roll them tightly, and slice them into thin strips with a sharp knife.
