I didn’t really plan it this way, but this turned into the week of baby shower cakes… ending with the Chevron Baby Shower Cake with a Monogram.
First was the Gray & Yellow Baby shower cake done for my sister-in-law.
Then there was the Simple Chocolate Buttercream Monkey Baby Shower cake.
And of course… although it wasn’t a baby shower cake… there was a beautiful baby featured in my Thanksgiving Cupcakes post! 😉
So why not finish off the week with one last baby shower cake? This cake was also during those couple of weeks in August where my camera was not working. I took all of these photos either with my phone or an old point-and-shoot. And they’re not too shabby considering!
For the chevrons, I printed out a chevron pattern (I searched for chevron pattern on Swagbucks then browsed the images until I found one that I liked).
For the letter… I hand cut it. I didn’t like any of the letter cutters that I had – I wanted something more formal, so I just printed out a good block “K” and cut it out with my Xacto blade. It was tedious but worth it!!
And that’s it!! Do you have any questions about this cake? Leave them in the comments and I’ll do my best to answer!
