Description

TikTok has made dill pickle lemonade one of the most talked-about drink trends of the summer, and it’s easy to see why. It might sound a little strange at first, but don’t knock it until you’ve tried it! This refreshing drink combines fresh lemon juice, dill pickle juice, water, and a touch of sugar for the perfect blend of sweet, salty, and tangy flavors. It’s a fun twist on classic lemonade, perfect for pickle lovers and anyone looking to try something a little different.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 Cups Water
  • 4 Ounces Lemon Juice (freshly squeezed is best)
  • 3 Ounce Dill Pickle Juice
  • 2 Tablespoons White Granulated Sugar
  • Ice (optional)
  • Lemon Slices (optional garnish)
  • Small Dill Pickles and/or Fresh Dill (optional garnishes)

Instructions

    1. In a small pitcher or other pourable container, combine the lemon juice and sugar. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
    2. Add the pickle juice and water, then stir well to combine.
    3. Pour over ice and garnish with a lemon slice and a small dill pickle, if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Store any leftovers in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
  • You can freeze this lemonade for up to 3 months, but keep in mind it may taste a little more diluted after thawing.
  • Love pickle juice? Add an extra ounce or two for an even stronger dill pickle flavor.
  • Fresh mint makes a beautiful garnish and pairs surprisingly well with the sweet-and-salty flavor of this lemonade.
  • I think 2 tablespoons of sugar gives it a classic lemonade sweetness, but feel free to add more if you like your drinks on the sweeter side.
  • If you’re using pickle juice straight from a jar of pickles, strain it first to remove any bits of dill or spices. Personally, I like buying bottled pickle juice so I don’t have to mess with straining it—and it means I still have plenty of juice left in my pickle jar!
