I pretty much did the exact same thing again! Interesting, huh? Okay – not so much.
Anywho… if you like Dora, be sure to also check out my other Dora cake. It was not nearly as simple, but equally cute and fun!
Nothing really changed for this cake… but I did also do some matching cake pops!
These were vanilla cake with white almond bark (lavender candy coloring added) and then white sanding sugar on top!
PS. I have got to figure out how to keep my lollipop sticks cleaner when dipping! Can you see that faint pink stain on the sticks?
I never notice how bad they are until a) I start boxing them up and/or b) I start editing pics!
I always grab a damp paper towel and wipe them down as I box them up which is easy and gets them looking all pretty and white again, but how in the world do I keep them clean in the first place?? Suggestions? I’m seriously asking!
I suppose I could wear my latex gloves every time I do cake pops – but I usually forget.
And my hands always have this color or that on them from kneading fondant. Even if I wash them thoroughly, which I do quite often when working on cake, the color will not wash off my hands but it still rubs off on lollipop sticks!
And if they happen to be unstained, then I inevitably get whatever color chocolate I’m using all over the sticks! Ugh!!
Okay… sorry about that little detour in the conversation. So… there you go. Another Dora’s Backpack Cake plus matching cake pops!
