Description

This homemade bean dip recipe is one of those simple, reliable snacks you’ll want to keep in your back pocket for every game day and get-together. Make it your own with your favorite toppings and a little extra spice!

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces refried beans
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 4 ounces green chiles
  • 1/4 cup salsa
  • 1/2 tsp. cumin
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp. smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp. salt, more or less to taste
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2 cups shredded Mexican blend cheese
  • Optional toppings: Cilantro, green onion, etc.

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F and spray a small casserole dish or pie plate with nonstick spray.
  2. In a large bowl, stir together the beans, sour cream, chiles, salsa, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and 1 cup of the shredded cheese.
  3. Spread the mixture into your prepared dish and sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of cheese on top.
  4. Bake for 20–25 minutes, until the dip is hot and the cheese is melted.
  5. Add your favorite toppings and serve warm with chips!
