Whether you’re making classroom treats, hosting a holiday party, a cookie exchange, or just spreading a little Christmas cheer, these sweet reindeer are sure to steal the show.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 6 cups Rice Krispie cereal
  • 6 cups mini marshmallows
  • 4 tablespoons butter, salted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Chocolate covered mini pretzels
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate melts
  • Red and brown M&M’s
  • Candy eyes
  • Nonstick spray

Instructions

  1. Prepare a 9×13-inch baking dish by spraying it with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a large pot, melt the butter over low heat.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Add the marshmallows and stir constantly until completely melted and smooth.
  5. Gently fold in the Rice Krispies cereal until all of it is evenly coated with the melted marshmallow mixture.
  6. Spoon the coated cereal into the prepared baking dish and press it evenly into place using a spatula or lightly greased hands.
  7. Let the mixture cool for about 30 minutes.
  8. Use a spatula to gently loosen the edges, then flip the pan over onto a clean cutting board. Trim the edges with a large knife so they’re straight and set the trimmed pieces aside.
  9. Cut the block of treats in half lengthwise to create two long sections.
  10. Slice each section on a diagonal to form triangle-shaped pieces.

Decorating the Reindeer Treats

  1. Place the white chocolate melts in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat according to the package directions, or if none are provided, microwave for 1 minute at 50% power (or on the defrost setting). Stir well, and if not fully melted, heat for another 30 seconds and stir again until smooth.

  2. Add a small dab of melted chocolate to the back of one corner of a mini pretzel and attach it to a top corner of the triangle (opposite the pointed end) to create an antler. Repeat on the other side.

  3. Using a spoon or toothpick, place a tiny amount of melted white chocolate on the back of each candy eye, then press them gently onto the treat to form the reindeer’s eyes.

  4. Add a little melted white chocolate to the side of an M&M with the printed logo and press it onto the tip of the triangle for the nose. Use red M&Ms for Rudolph and brown ones for the rest of Santa’s reindeer.

  5. Arrange the decorated treats on a baking sheet and refrigerate for 5–10 minutes to allow the chocolate to set.

  6. Once the decorations are firm, serve and enjoy these adorable reindeer treats!
