Description
If you’re looking for an easy dessert recipe that doubles as a sweet side dish, this Snicker Salad recipe is about to become one of your favorite recipes! This delicious recipe combines crisp apples, chewy chunks of Snickers, and a creamy mixture that’s perfect for family gatherings, potluck dinners, or your next potluck.
Ingredients
- 4 1/2 Regular Sized Green Apples
- 5 Regular Sized Snickers Bars
- 1 3.4-Ounce Box Vanilla Pudding
- 1 3/4 Cups Whole Milk
- 8 Ounces Whipped Topping
- 1/4 Cup Caramel Sauce
Instructions
-
- Wash, core, and chop the apples into bite-sized pieces (no need to peel). Chop the Snickers into small pieces as well and set aside.
-
In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the pudding and milk until it begins to thicken, about 2 minutes.
-
Fold in the whipped topping until the mixture is smooth and fully combined.
-
Set aside about 1 cup of the chopped apples, then stir the remaining apples into the pudding mixture.
-
Set aside one chopped Snickers bar, then add the rest of the chopped Snickers to the bowl.
-
Gently fold everything together until the apples and Snickers are evenly mixed throughout.
-
Cover and chill for at least 1 hour before serving.
- When ready to serve, transfer the salad to a serving bowl and sprinkle the reserved apples and Snickers over the top. Drizzle with caramel sauce and enjoy!
Notes
- If you’re making this ahead, don’t add the garnish until just before serving. Store the salad in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. The chocolate will start to break down and look a little messy (but still taste delicious!). Do not freeze.
- Feel free to play with the amounts and even the types of apples or candy bars you use — this is an easy recipe to customize.
- For a richer flavor, try using cheesecake-flavored pudding instead of vanilla.
- This salad is usually made with unpeeled apples, but if you prefer them peeled, go right ahead — it won’t affect the recipe at all.
