I shared this cake on Facebook back in December (I’d love it if you’d hop over and like my page!), but RoseBakes.com wasn’t up and running yet, so I never wrote a post about it! When I got a request for farm animal cake pops recently, I looked up these pics and decided I’d like to share the cake and cake pops here!
This cake was so much fun to make… the party was for Ella and Ava who were sharing a party to celebrate their 4th and 3rd birthdays (respectively). I included the coordinating candles on the cake in tiny haystacks!
There was going to be a petting zoo at the party, so the moms wanted many of the animals to be represented…
a horse…
and a cow…
and a rooster…
and a sheep.
For the top tier of the cake, I made a barn with another cutie-pie horse and a chicken!
To go along with this cake, I made some farm animals cake pops. I forgot to take pics of them before I had them all wrapped up, so these aren’t great pics, but you can get the idea!
There were so many tools used on this cake… I don’t know where to start, but here are the main ones. I used the extruder for all of the hay, my favorite FMM Ribbon cutter and wood grain impression mats for all the fences and the barn!
I used my grass tip to add all the borders and the FMM Alphabet Tappit Cutters for the banner with the girls’ names! And although this cake was for girls… it could just as easily be for a little boy (or boys!).
Did I miss anything? Any questions about this cake or cake pops? Please leave them in the comments and I’m happy to answer & help!
