Make this Football Party Popcorn Snack Mix with Football Candy Corn for the big Game Day and enjoy a sweet and salty treat complete with popcorn, melted candy melts and Football Candy Corn.
Ya’ll. I had no clue that Brach’s made Football Candy Corn until a few weeks ago. But as soon as I saw it, I knew I had to have some. I mean, I am a Candy Corn addict and any reason to consume candy corn other than Fall sounds great to me!
We’re huge football fans around here and this Candy Corn is so cute and fun for football snacking!
Anywho – this Football Party Popcorn Snack Mix can be kept very simple or you can add as many mix-ins as you like. I kept it pretty simple with popcorn, candy corn, candy melts (white chocolate) and sprinkles. But you could add peanuts, M&M’s, pretzels, chocolate chips, etc. You get the idea – the sky’s the limit!
You could also use plain popcorn if you like, but I prefer extra buttery microwave popcorn. It’s so easy and already salty for me 😁 Here’s how to bring put it together.
Start with about 15 cups of popped popcorn (2 bags of microwave popcorn for me). Spread it out on a lined cookie sheet.
Toss the popcorn with the Football Candy Corn. I only used about a third of the bag but you will not find any judgement in my eyes if you use a whole bag 😉
Then toss the mixture to coat it all with the melted candy melts. I dug in with my (gloved) hands to toss mine, but you could use a large spoon or even dump it all into a large bowl to toss.
Once it’s all coated, I added some green nonpariel sprinkles (impossible to see in this pic). Finally I put the whole cookie sheet in the fridge for a few minutes to set the chocolate. Then it easily breaks into pieces to enjoy immediately or save for your party or event!
For our football party, I served the snack mix on a big football shaped platter and it was gone in a flash!
