It’s so hard to believe that Valentine’s is gone and Easter is on it’s way! For the past couple of days I’ve had Easter cupcakes on my mind, so I thought I’d update the pics and repost one of my Easter posts from last year!
I won’t be posting much today and tomorrow, but I thought I’d quickly share what I’ve been up to in the kitchen last night and this morning!
I don’t usually use pre-shaped pans, but a sweet, sweet lady at our church gave me this tiny bunny head and it was just irresistible. I’m not sure how to describe the size to you, but it only holds about half of a regular cake mix.
Since that wasn’t quite enough cake for a bunch of kids at the church, I also did cupcakes. You’ll find my tutorial for making Bunny Ears Cupcakes HERE!
Lots and lots of little bunny ears cupcakes. In fact, yesterday I cut out 50 little white ears (from marshmallow fondant) and 50 little pink ear “middles”… and put them all together to dry. I thought it would be fun, but after about the 10th one, I was so over it. I used leaf cutters from this Wilton Gum paste set for both of those cuts and I used my Wilton 1M tip for the frosting!
But I pushed on and finished the task.
Then… my kids asked if they could make cookies to take to church. Of course, I didn’t want to miss a chance to bake sugar cookies, plus I had extra buttercream left over from the cupcakes, so we made sugar cookies and frosted them!
Sarah helped alot… she’s my 3rd hand in the kitchen some days!
