Today is Easter – the day we celebrate the fact that Jesus, our Savior rose from the dead after being crucified to pay the price for our sins. It’s a big deal. A favorite holiday. The foundation of my salvation.
So if you’re a fellow Christian celebrating Easter this weekend… Happy Easter!
I don’t have anything special dessert to share with you for Easter, but today our youth group from church had a bake sale to help raise money for missions camp this summer.
Since I have 3 kids that hope to go to camp (and I happen to bake pretty often ;)), I knew I needed to contribute BIG to the sale! So I thought I’d share a few pics of the desserts I made for today!
There were 4 boxes of cupcakes… some vanilla…
and some strawberry…
I also brought four of these Loaded Carrot Cakes:
When I posted the pics on Facebook this morning, I had two of them sold before I ever left the house. This carrot cake is that good! You should make it if you haven’t before!!
The last thing I made was a French Vanilla Roses Cake.
I’m also happy to report that we sold every single cake, cookie, and basketful of goodies! I was so proud of our kids – they worked hard selling cakes!
Anyway… I’m off enjoying family time today and I hope you are as well! I pray that you all have a blessed holiday!
