Description
These Biscuit Pretzel Bites are super easy to make when you start with canned biscuit dough, and they’re ready to eat in under 15 minutes! Top them with course sea salt and dip them in your favorite cheese dip and you will fall in love with this quick and delicious recipe.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can of Biscuits (8 count, 16.3 ounces – I prefer Pillsbury Grands! Biscuits)
- 4 cups of Boiling Water
- 1/4 a cup of Baking Soda
- 4 ounces Melted Butter (I use salted butter, about half a stick)
- Coarse Sea Salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 475°F.
- Bring a medium saucepan of water to boil. You only need a few cups (I use 4 cups) and you can adjust the amount of water based on the size of your pot.
- Stir in the baking soda.
- Open your can of biscuits and cut each biscuit into fourths.
- Using a slotted spoon, lower the dough balls into the pot of boiling baking soda water for about 45 seconds. You don’t want to leave them to simmer – this is just a quick dip!
- Scoop them out, let the excess water drip off, and place them on a prepared baking sheet.
- Using your basting brush, coat each piece with melted butter.
- Sprinkle them with coarse sea salt.
- Bake at 475 degrees for 15 minutes, until golden brown
- Enjoy these homemade soft pretzel bites with your favorite pretzel dip or soup.
Notes
- If dipping in boiling water scares you, you can dip in warm water instead and get very similar results with these homemade pretzels.
- Instead of parchment paper, you can spray your baking sheet with cooking spray to prevent sticking. I just prefer the easy cleanup of parchment and I feel like these easy pretzel bites are a little crispier this way.
