- 40 saltine crackers
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 8 ounce cream cheese softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup marshmallow fluff
- 24 ounces vanilla almond bark
- 1/2 cup red candy melts
- Green sprinkles
Instructions
Make the Saltine Toffee
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Line 15x10x1-inch pan with foil. Spray foil with cooking spray.
- Place crackers in single layer in pan.
- In a medium saucepan, cook and stir butter and brown sugar over medium heat until butter is melted.
- Heat to boiling, stirring frequently.
- Let boil for 3-5 minutes, stirring frequently, until light brown in color.
- Remove from heat.
- Immediately pour mixture evenly over crackers in pan; spread to cover the crackers.
- Bake 5-8 minutes or until bubbly and brown.
- Remove from oven.
- Set aside to cool completely.
Make the filling
- Using a hand mixer combine the powdered sugar, vanilla and cream cheese.
- Next mix in the marshmallow fluff until everything is smooth and creamy.
- Spread the filling over the crackers in an even layer.
- Melt your almond bark over a double boiler or in a microwave safe bowl in 30 second intervals until melted.
- Pour the almond bark over the cracker mixture and spread out evenly.
- Sprinkle with the green sprinkles.
- Melt your red candy melts.
- Place the melted red candy melts in a ziploc bag with tip cut off or piping bag.
- Drizzle the red chocolate over the top.
- Set aside to cool completely for 1 hour or in fridge for 30 minutes.
- Break into pieces and serve.
Notes
- Keep leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- Saltines work best for this recipe, but you can use Ritz crackers if you like. Any salted cracker should work just fine.
