Description

Christmas Tree Cake Truffles are bite-sized sweet treats that are so perfect for the Christmas season. And they’re really easy – just mash up the Christmas Tree Cakes with some cream cheese and dip them in melted chocolate and you’re done – perfect Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cake Balls!  These will be a hit at any holiday party, family get-together, or snack for your kids!

Instructions

  1. Prepare a baking sheet with waxed paper or parchment paper
  2. Add Christmas tree cakes and cream cheese into a mixing bowl.
  3. Use a hand mixer to beat until a dough forms.
  4. Portion the dough into approximately one-inch balls using a cookie scoop, and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Freeze for 30 minutes or until hardened.
  6. Prepare the white candy melts by microwaving in 30-second intervals until completely melted. Stir with a metal spoon in between.
  7. Use the bamboo stick to dip the truffle in the melted chocolate.
  8. Place back on the baking sheet, and immediately sprinkle with sanding sugar.
  9. Place in refrigerator to allow time to harden.
  10. Enjoy!

Notes

  •  Be sure to crumble the cake into fine crumbs to ensure a smooth texture in the truffles.
  • When dipping each truffle ball in chocolate, use a fork or a dipping tool to make the process easier and mess-free. Then use a fork to slide the truffle off the bamboo stick without messing up the chocolate.
