- 1/2 cup Butter
- 3/4 cup Brown Sugar
- 1/4 cup White Sugar
- 1 large Egg
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 1–2 drops Pink Food Dye
- 1 3/4 cups All Purpose Flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 3/4 Maraschino Cherries, drained and chopped
- 1/2 cup Milk Chocolate Chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350℉ and line your baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar in a large bowl. Then stir in the egg, vanilla, and food dye.
- Add the flour, baking powder, and baking soda and stir until there are no more dry spots.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and cherries.
- Make two tablespoon cookie dough balls and add 6 to one baking tray, leave the rest in the bowl and set in the fridge.
- Bake for about 11 minutes and let cool on the tray for 5 or so minutes before moving to a cooling rack.
- Repeat steps 6 and 7 until you run out of dough. Then enjoy with a glass of milk!
