This Christmas season feels different for us. We’re having to mix up our usual traditions because we’re still in the midst of moving into our new house.
We didn’t get the tree up until a few days ago. The stockings aren’t hung. We have no outside lights and no Christmas-scented candles burning.
Most of our Christmas decor is still in boxes somewhere.
But you know what… that’s okay. We’re thrilled to be in our new home… boxes and all. We’re so grateful that God brought us here.
We may not be celebrating with all of our usual activities, but the true meaning of the season, the presense of Jesus, remains strong and evident and that is better than any tradition.
And even if it won’t be a “perfect” Chrismtas… my family will all be here (minus a brother and brother-in-law who will be working) and we’re going to enjoy lots of food, a gift exchange and hopefully some fun games.
So, with much love, joy, gratefulness and peace… Merry Christmas from our family to yours.
Thank you, as always, for reading here at Rose Bakes. I appreciate each and every one of you.
All my Christmas love,
