Today I’m sharing a Nascar Birthday Cake with you! Some of you may remember (but probably not!) that I did a cake for Maddux way back in 2011. It was my first wonky cake and I was soooo nervous about it!
Well, fast forward two years and now Maddux is into Nascar and thank goodness, I was not nearly so nervous about this cake!
Are any of you Nascar fans? Honestly, I have to say that I’m not a fan. I really don’t understand the appeal of watching cars go round and round and round for hours. My sister says I’d feel differently if I ever went to a race but for now… I just don’t get it!
The Nascar logo on the top tier was a little more complicated. I used the Fox Run Alphabet cutters for “Nascar” and then trimmed and stretched them to try and make them match the logo better. I individually cut all the tiny rectangles to go behind the letters.
For the fire, I rolled out a long strip of red and used an Xacto knife to cut the fire pattern for the border. The top tier was a 6″ round.
Do you have any questions about this cake? Please leave me a comment and I’ll answer if I can!
