- 3/4 cornmeal
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup honey
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees and prepare a 9×9 baking dish with cooking spray and/or line with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cornmeal, baking powder and salt until well mixed.
- Add the milk, oil, and egg. Use an electric mixer on low speed until fully incorporated.
- Gently fold in the honey and mix just until combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the top begins to turn golden brown. A toothpick inserted in the center should come out clean.
- Remove from the oven and serve warm.
