- 20-ounce bag of 15 Bean Mix
- 8 cups chicken broth
- 1 pound diced or cubed ham
- 1 (15 ounce) can northern beans, drained
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 carrots, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes
Instructions
- Add everything (bean soup mix, chicken broth, diced ham, drained beans, vegetables, and all the seasonings) to your slow cooker except the diced tomatoes.
- Give it a good stir to combine.
- Cover and cook on HIGH for 6–8 hours or LOW for 8–10 hours.
- About 30 minutes before serving, stir in the diced tomatoes.
- Serve your hearty soup hot with your favorite bread or cornbread!
Notes
- Keep leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-7 days.
- You can also add a squeeze of lemon at the end.
- You can add celery, spinach or collards at the beginning of cooking.
