Triple Chocolate Groom's Cake with Oreo Filling & Topping!
I've been busy today trying to organize and prep some pictures to continue posting about our HUGE Road Trip. By the way, a new post is up... Day 4 that we spent in Petrified Forest National Park, the Painted Desert, Meteor Crater, and dinner at Salsa Brava! It was an amazing day and I had fits trying to narrow down which pics to post. I ended up making several collages just to try and squeeze in a few more. You can hop over to Rose Atwater here to read all about it and see our pics!
Anywho - I made this groom's cake last December. THIS was my kind of cake... all chocolate and Oreos. It's probably a good thing that I had to deliver it to someone else because I could've easily eaten half of it by myself 😉 My kids would've eaten the other half!
So, don't you think this would be a fabulous Father's Day cake? Maybe not 2 tiers, unless you have a big family, but even as one tier, there would be plenty of chocolate to go around.
Want some more loaded chocolate cake ideas for Father's Day? Check out my links/pics below! I'm not gonna spend a ton of time telling you about it, it's a pretty straight-forward (and delicious!!) cake.

Hi Rose! This looks beautiful and delicious! I can't wait to try it out. I was unable to get the last 2 recipe links to work…the ganache and the oreo filling. It could be on my end, but I wanted to mention it just in case. I tried a few times. I love your work and recipes! 🙂

Thanks so much! I think I somehow linked them through Facebook - I'm going to redo them now just in case! Happy Baking!

Nevermind! I think it was just a cautionary "are you sure you want to follow this link" thing on those last 2 links I mentioned. I went ahead and accepted it, and it took me to the linked recipes. Weird! Thanks again!

I was wondering for the. Ganache you said also added some corn syrup an vanilla how much do you add an when is it added. Thank you
Rose Atwater
I don't really measure the vanilla - usually just a splash (maybe a teaspoon)?! I think I mentioned 1/4 cup of corn syrup in the recipe and it's stirred in at the end.
