Will You Be My Bridesmaid? Cookies. I thought these were the sweetest (excuse the pun) and most unique idea I’d heard of in awhile when I was asked to do them last year!
Of course I immediately said YES – I’d love to make them. Then it occurred to me that I would actually have to write on cookies. Ya’ll… I can’t write with buttercream. I can’t write with royal icing. Heck – I can barely write with a pen.
Just kidding… my handwriting is not
too bad, but my writing with any sugar product down-right stinks.
However, since I had already said yes, I just had to dive in and do my very best!
My sweet client ordered a cookie with the question, “Will You Be My Bridesmaid?” for each of her friends plus a dress cookie with each girl’s monogram on it. OH and one of them said, “Will You Be My Matron of Honor?” but I didn’t get a good close up of that cookie.
These were really fun to do and I absolutely loved the whole idea. I just wish my handwriting was cleaner. I guess practice makes perfect and I just don’t do nearly enough writing with icing to get anywhere near perfection.
Just for fun, I made her a couple of extra dress cookies that were plain. Okay – it wasn’t for fun. I had extras just in case I screwed any of them up too bad – I could start fresh 😉
