Description

Apple Pie Egg Rolls have a brown sugar cinnamon apple pie filling and a deep-fried, golden brown, perfectly crispy egg roll outside. They are a copycat of the Panda Express Apple Pie Roll – but WAY BETTER and you can make them at home anytime you have a craving!

Ingredients

Scale
  • Egg Roll Wraps
  • 2 cups of Apple Pie Filling (diced finely)
  • 1/4 cup of Flour
  • 1/3 cup Brown Sugar (packed)
  • 1/2 stick of Melted Butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon of Cinnamon
  • Walnuts (for topping)
  • Caramel (for topping)
  • Oil

Instructions

  1. Start by making your strudel. Add your flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon to a bowl. Melt two tablespoons of your butter and add to the bowl. Mix until clumps form. Smash and separate large clumps. Set aside.
  2. Lay out your egg roll wraps. Place two tablespoons of pie filling down the center. Sprinkle some strudel on top.
  3. Melt down your remaining butter and brush on the sides, to help hold it together while frying.
  4. Fold up your bottom corner, followed by both sides, then wrap tightly. You can double wrap but MAKE SURE to cook all the way through both wraps.
  5. Fill your frying pan with about two inches of oil. Let it heat up. Egg rolls should create a boil when dropped in.
  6. Drop in your egg rolls one at a time. Flipping halfway through, until both sides are browned and cooked through.
  7. Place on a serving dish and sprinkle with walnuts. Drizzle with caramel and serve! Apple Pie you can hold in your hand!
