Description

Celebrate Fall with these vibrant Caramel Apple Jello Shots! The tangy apple and rich caramel blend together perfectly for a sweet, fun adult treat. Packed with flavor and a little extra punch!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 Box Sonic Green Apple Jello (3.94 ounces)
  • 2 Cups Boiling Water
  • 1 Cup Caramel Vodka
  • Whipped Topping (optional garnish)
  • Caramel Sauce (optional garnish)
  • Apple Slices (optional Garnish)
  • Caramels (optional garnish)

Instructions

Items Needed

  • 18 Shot Cups with Lids
  • Baking Sheet or Tray
  • Pourable Measuring Cup or Similar
  • Stirring Utensil
  • Medium Mixing Bowl
  • Frosting Bag (optional for garnish)

How to Make Caramel Apple Jello Shots

  1. Pour green jello powder into a medium bowl.
  2. Boil water in a small saucepan, then pour over the gelatin and stir until the jello fully dissolves.
  3. Add the caramel vodka and stir again.
  4. Pour the jello mixture into a pourable measuring cup, or something similar.
  5. Line up your plastic shot glasses (or glass ones) on a moveable surface such as a tray or baking sheet.
  6. Fill the shot cups about ¾ of the way full with the caramel jello mixture.
  7. Chill for 2 hours or until fully set.
  8. If desired, use a frosting bag and frosting tip to add a dollop of whipped topping to the top of every shot. You can also add a small layer of caramel sauce (or just a drizzle) with an apple slice and enjoy!

Notes

  • Do not garnish these if they need to be stored. To store, cover all shots with lids and keep in the fridge for up to 3 days. Do not freeze. Garnish when ready to serve.
  • If you want your shots thicker, simply reduce the alcohol by ⅓ cup. If you would like them thinner, add more alcohol, starting with ¼ cup.
  • The jello flavor is very strong, which is why I skipped apple vodka altogether.
  • Jolly Rancher has a green apple jello that works perfectly as well.
  • If you use the caramels as a garnish, along with the whipped topping, I usually cut the caramel in half and it looks/fits better.
