Description

This Easter Skillet Cookie recipe is perfectly delicious, really pretty and festive for Easter! Use your favorite malted milk eggs, Easter M&Ms, and white chocolate chips in this brown sugar cookie dough for a perfect Easter treat!

Ingredients

Scale

Equipment Needed:

  • 10-inch cast iron skillet
  • Stand Mixer (hand-mixer will work)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. Prepare a 10-inch cast iron skillet buy rubbing with butter or vegetable oil, or spraying with non-stick cooking spray.
  3. In a stand mixer, beat together your Crisco and sugars, until smooth.
  4. Add in eggs and vanilla and mix.
  5. Add in remaining dry ingredients and mix until dough forms.
  6. Dump in chocolate chips and knead into dough.
  7. Press dough into the bottom of a well greased iron skillet.
  8. Top with crushed robin eggs, M&Ms, and sprinkles.
  9. I had a small skillet so I used the remaining cookie dough to make a couple dozen cookies.
  10. Bake at 375°F for 20-25 minutes, or until golden around the edges and soft in the middle.
  11. Cool for at least 10 minutes before cutting.
  12. Serve warm and enjoy!!

Notes

  • Don’t have a cast iron skillet? Use a cake pan! It works just as well!
  • Easiest Way to Crush the Candy Eggs: It’s easier to crush these using a meat tenderizer or placing them in a bag and banging it on the counter. Chopping them with a knife is difficult and tricky.
