Description
Churro Cheesecake Bars are a delicious dessert combining classic churros with creamy cheesecake flavors and textures. They’re made with a creamy cheesecake filling sandwiched between two layers of cinnamon–sugar-coated crescent roll dough, mimicking the crunchy exterior and cinnamon flavor of churros.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cans crescent rolls
- 2 8 oz. blocks of cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
Topping:
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350ºF.
- Combine cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and eggs together, and beat until smooth.
- Great a 9×13 inch pan, and layer one can of crescent rolls in the bottom.
- Pour cream cheese mixture on top, and spread out evenly.
- Layer the second can of crescent rolls on top. Note: if the dough is longer and wider than your pan, you can either cut the excess dough off, or press it into the sides, creating kind of a pie shell. If the top is too large, you can again, either cut it off, or roll it under.
- Combine cinnamon and sugar, and sprinkle on top.
- Bake in preheated oven for about 30 minutes, until the dough has turned golden brown underneath the cinnamon sugar. The cheesecake will probably have bubbled up during baking, but it will mostly sink back down as it cools.
- Allow to cool, and for best results, refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.
