Ingredients
Scale
- 1 boxed Cake Mix, baked according to package directions
- 2 tablespoons of Vanilla Frosting
- 1 lb. of White Almond Bark
- Candy Eyes
Tools Needed
- Paper Cake Pop Sticks
- Piping Bag
- Bowl (for dipping)
- Mixer
- Parchment Paper
Instructions
- Start by crumbling up your freshly baked cake. Add the cake and frosting to a stand mixer.
- Mix on high until well combined. Knead together until the consistency of play dough.
- Use a cookie dough scoop to remove dough, and roll into a ball. Repeat until all your dough is used up.
- Place in the freezer for one hour.
- Place your almond bark in the microwave. In one minute intervals. Stirring after each, until smooth and completely melted.
- Dip the end of each cake pop stick into your melted chocolate, then place down the center of each cake ball. Place back in the fridge for 10 minutes to set.
- Begin dipping each cake pop, one at a time, in melted chocolate. Shake off the excess. Add two candy eyes to the top half of the cap pop (close together). Gently set down on parchment paper. While your cake pops are setting up, pour excess chocolate into a piping bag. Cut a small tip off the end.
- Go back and forth over each cake pop, drizzling chocolate over the cake pops and slightly over the bottom of the candy eyes. Run the chocolate diagonally across the cake pop a couple times. Then set on your parchment paper to set.
- Once chocolate is hardened, you can serve and enjoy! These are so incredibly cute, and delicious! Store in a sealed container.
