These Sausage Balls with Red Lobster Biscuit Mix blend the savory taste of sausage with the cheesy goodness of Red Lobster's Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix. Easy to prepare, only 4 ingredients and perfect for any occasion! Cheddar Bay Sausage Balls are sure to be a crowd-pleaser.

- 1 box (11.36 oz) Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix + the included garlic herb blend packet
- 1 lb ground breakfast sausage (mild or spicy)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup butter, melted (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground sausage, shredded cheddar cheese, and the Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix (do not prepare the biscuit mix as directed on the package; use it dry). Do not include the seasoning packet!
- Add 1/2 cup of water to the mixture and mix until well combined. The mixture will be sticky.
- Using a small cookie scoop or tablespoon, form the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-22 minutes, or until the sausage balls are golden brown and cooked through.
- While the sausage balls are baking, melt the butter in a small bowl in the microwave and stir in the garlic herb blend from the biscuit mix.
- Once the sausage balls are done, remove them from the oven and immediately brush with the melted butter and garlic herb blend.
- Allow the sausage balls to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Use your stand mixer if you have one. This Red Lobster Sausage Balls recipe is so much easier than mixing with a hand mixer or by hand.
- Use a cookie scoop! Again, it's much easier and less messy than having to roll them by hand.
- Make these homemade sausage balls ahead if you're planning a big party with a lot of prep!
