Rose Bakes LLC is a home-based custom cake business. I do not keep pre-baked cakes or inventory on hand. For this reason, I serve fresh-baked cake at tastings - cupcakes or slices of cake, depending on the flavors chosen and how busy I am at the time. My tasting & consultation sessions are very relaxed and easy-going. They usually require no more than one hour of your time.
You may also request to pick up a to-go box for tasting if you do not require an in-person consultation.
When you schedule a wedding cake consultation, here are my guidelines and what's included:
- In-person consultations and tastings are set up at my home, by appointment only.
- I can also prepare a tasting box that you can pick up and take with you. In this case, consultations happen by email or phone.
- There is a $50 fee for a wedding cake tasting and/or consultation fee. This fee will be applied to your wedding order if you book your cake with me. If you've already paid a retainer for your wedding cake, the tasting is complimentary.
- The in-person tasting is for the bride and up to (3) guests. Additional guests are $10 each.
- Bottled water is included for each guest.
- The tasting includes:
- up to three (3) flavors of cake that you may choose
- up to three (3) flavors of frosting
- One (1) filling, if desired
I can make additional flavors for an additional charge.
