I’m so excited to feature the January Who Takes the Cake? Winner: Elevate Cake! All of the finalists this months were gorgeous, but this one really did steal the show! it was called the Roaring 20’s Cake.

The theme for January was metallics and I absolutely love the gold details on this cake. They are just so elegant and gorgeous.

My name is Olivia Hoopes. I’m a mother of 3 (soon to be 4) and I live in Denver, CO. I am a California girl at heart and grew up on a berry farm. I like to infuse a little of my background into my cakes by using fresh and local ingredients, when possible. I am a registered dietitian turned pastry chef. I graduated from pastry school in 2014, started Elevate Cake from my home that Fall, and have been keeping busy ever since!

I am so grateful to do something I love and to continue learning from other fabulous cakers out there. One of my biggest cake idols is Shannon Bond; her work is everything I hope to be some day. When I am not making cakes, I enjoy watching reality TV, being outdoors, and, yup, you guessed it, baking with my kids!
