It's Friday afternoon and while I really really wanted to get a full post up today, it just didn't happen. Between cupcake and cookie orders (see above) and my husband working a crazy midnight schedule and me not feeling so great the past couple of weeks... I ended up just overwhelmed.
But since I'm really trying harder to get up regular posts, at least three days a week - I wanted to share today and there were 2 things that I just really wanted you to know.
First, I bought this cake app last week called Cake Stacker (if you're reading in email or RSS - please click here to visit the post and find the link to the app). I've used it a dozen times since I purchased it and let me just tell you - it's worth.every.penny!
With Cake Stacker, you can enter how many servings you need and it will give you several options for tiers and sizes to meet your servings, or you can build your cake custom and it will give you total servings.
You can change the shape of the tiers, number of tiers, size of tiers and size of servings. After you're done, it generates a visual for what the cake will look like... I LOVE it!!
If that's not enough, you can also get it to tell you how many dowels to use (and where to place them) plus how much fondant you'll need to cover it and how much ribbon (in length) if you were going to wrap it around the cake.
This is an Android app (because I have an Android phone) but if you have an iPhone, you can also get this in that format.
Just so you know - I paid full price for Cake Stacker and no one is paying me to tell you this (unless you buy through my link - then I will earn a small commission at no extra cost to you!).
They also have the Cake Slicer app that I'm about to download too. I haven't used it yet, but they tout that "Sharing Cake Cutting Guides with Your Clients is Just a Tap Away" and that sounds like a fantastic idea to me. Okay - that's all about that.
That's all I have for you! If I can get dinner on the table early, maybe I'll still get to post a cake tonight 🙂 Otherwise, I'm going to bed early!!
