Hot Pink Buttercream 50th Birthday Cake
Turning 50 is a big deal, so I made myself this gorgeous (if I might say so myself) Hot Pink Buttercream 50th Birthday Cake! I couldn’t wait to share it because it turned out so fun and so me! If you’re looking for 50th birthday cake ideas or a bold birthday cake design for a milestone celebration, this one definitely makes a statement. I love everything about the bright pink color and the delicious flavors inside!

Hot Pink 50th Birthday Cake
With vintage buttercream so popular right now, I’ve leaned into it and really fallen in love with the trend. And since pink is my favorite color, I’ve known for a while that I wanted to make an all-pink, hot pink vintage buttercream cake.
But since nobody was ordering this dream cake of mine – I decided I’d make it for ME – on my 50th birthday!
I love, love, LOVE this bright shade of pink, and while you might think I enhanced the color with editing – I promise I didn’t. Richy said he needed sunglasses to look at the cake because it was so bright and the color was so intense!
Funny side note… I bought some “Happy Birthday” toppers for the cake, but none of them looked “just right.”
Meanwhile, my husband bought me flowers for my birthday that had the pink “Happy Birthday” you see on the cake. So I stole the pick from my flowers, washed it, and used it on my cake. It was the perfect shade of pink 😍

Cake Decorating Video
Okay… I’m NOT a videographer, but I did set up my phone to record me decorating the cake. Meanwhile, my son’s fiancée was drawing on my whiteboard in the background the whole time 😜
But it is what it is – I have a busy house all the time so this is just a real-life video. Enjoy:
