This Homemade Blue Cheese Dressing is so easy to make and will make you never want bottled Blue Cheese Dressing again!

My favorite dressing in the whole wide world is Hidden Valley Ranch (made from the packets). It just is. As far as homemade dressings go... that's about the best you'll get from me.
Well... I do sometimes make this Oriental Broccoli Salad with a homemade vinaigrette that's good, but seriously, that's all I've ever done as far as homemade dressing.
Until now.
When I firsts got my new Pioneer Woman cookbook and started flipping through it (while my teenager drove us to his dental appointment), the first recipe that caught my attention was the Buffalo Chicken Bites with Homemade Blue Cheese Dip.
Yes, please. And I'll have seconds too!
I absolutely love buffalo chicken (especially boneless) with blue cheese dressing so I knew this would be the first recipe I made out of the cookbook.
So on Tuesday night, that's what we had for supper and it was just so, so good! When I mentioned it on Facebook, my friend Ashley asked me to share, so here it is... my (slightly) adapted version of Blue Cheese Dip (I call it dressing).
Homemade Blue Cheese Dressing
Really, the only changes I made from Pioneer Woman Recipe was adding a little more blue cheese (because I like it chunky) and a little more buttermilk (she mentioned using more for thinning, and that's what we did!) and a tablespoon of white wine vinegar - which also added a little more liquid for thinning and a little extra zing. You could leave it out if you like.
Now let me warn you - this recipe makes a lot of dressing. Next time I make it, I'll definitely cut it in half. But if you eat Blue Cheese Dressing a lot, go ahead and make the whole shebang!
