This cake was so much fun!! It was a little bit like my Holly Jolly Christmas Candy Cake (please look at that if you missed it - it was my first new cake posted here on Rose Bakes).
But instead of Christmas candy... the party theme and colors were more like Candyland, and the birthday girl Allie loves lollipops! Her mom also loved this cake from CakeCentral.com with the melting ice cream on top, so I incorporated that too!
I made the lollipops out of marshmallow fondant (with Tylose added)...
And for the ice cream cone, I made a giant cake ball, then I set it on wax paper and spooned melted pink chocolate over it and let it pool a bit, so it looked melted. While it was still wet, I added the real ice cream cone and it stuck!
Then I stuck it in the frig to harden and when it was done, I put it on the finished cake!
I used the Fox Run Alphabet cutters for the letters on this cake and traced them on yellow fondant to make them pop!
After it was delivered, I got this message from Allie's mom on Facebook...
I do hope they enjoyed it!! The top tier of the cake was butter cake with fresh strawberry slices and strawberry cream cheese filling. The bottom tier was chocolate cake with Oreo cream cheese filling! Yum. Yum. Yum.

For the butter cake and the strawberry cream cheese filling and the chocolate cake with Oreo Cream Cheese Filling where can I find those recipes? This cake is really, really, beautiful, and so gorgeous. I want to make this cake. I know it won't be as professional and beautiful work as you do, but I'm going to try my best. This is one beautiful cake for a birthday party. The cake sounds so delicious and the decorations are out of this world beautiful!!!!!!!! You really do some beautiful work. Never seen anything, anywhere as the beautiful cakes you make and decorate. What beautiful work you do!!!!!!!!!!

My butter cake recipe is here: http://rosebakes.com/a-cheeseburger-cake-durable-butter-cake-recipe/.
My chocolate cake recipe is here: http://rosebakes.com/star-wars-birthday-cake-durable-chocolate-cake-recipe/
I don't have recipes listed for the fillings, but I can tell you for the Oreo filling, I basically make my cream cheese frosting recipe (here: http://rosebakes.com/adventures-in-baking-cream-cheese-buttercream-for-decorating/) and add crushed Oreos at the end!
For the strawberry cream cheese filling, I pureed fresh strawberries, drained off some of the liquid, then mixed that in with my cream cheese frosting!
I hope that helps!!

Wow! That cake is amazinig! You are so wonderful at cake decorating. I so wanted to do a candyland theme for my daughters next birthday in December, but was unsure of the type of cake I wanted. I think I have found my inspiration. I love all your cakes and your blog. Thanks for all the great tips! I would also love the recipes for the cakes too!!

Hi! I love your cake. I make home made cakes and very creative with decorating, everything from scratch. was just wondering, after u took the cone out of the fridge, how did u make the hardened chocolate stick to the fondant. thanks a bunch!!
Rose
Thanks so much! I actually stuck it on there with a little melted chocolate and because the cone was cold - it hardened and stuck pretty quickly!
HomeBaker
Ok! I will try that, Thanks!

Hello this cake is amazing. I was just wondering how big the actual cakes are? Thank you 🙂

I *think* it was 6" and 8" tiers but I made this way back in 2012, so I could be off.
