This Slow Cooker White Hot Chocolate is creamy and perfect and delicous! And I'm making it for all of my friends in cooler parts of the world... because Mississippi didn't get them memo that it's FALL.
As I mentioned the other day, I'm so over this hot weather. Every time I see someone post about fall or cool weather or Pumpkin Spice... I'm overcome with jealousy. If it doesn't cool off soon, I told my husband I'm going to set the AC to 50° and build a fire in the fireplace and pretend it's winter anyway 😉
I know that would probably put me square in the middle of being cray-cray, but I don't care. I want cooler weather and I want it NOW! As much as my kids love playing in the creek and laying in the grass, even they have gotten tired of the heat this year and are wanting some relief...
Anyway, I wanted to get ahead of the season this year and go ahead and share this recipe early. Maybe some of you can already use a nice warm cup of Slow Cooker White Hot Chocolate and for the rest of you - you can Pin it for later!
Doesn't that look just so decadent and creamy? Mmmmm...
Now I know you might be thinking... why in the world would I make hot chocolate in the Crock Pot? Well, there are a few reasons. The main reason for me is that I'm notorious for burning anything that scalds easily... like milk. With this recipe, I don't have to worry about that!
I also love being able to add everything to the slow cooker before lunch, then it's ready to sip on in the afternoon. Or if you're having a party or entertaining a crowd, you can double or triple the recipe and let it get hot while you finish up other preparations!
Top this deliciousness with a drizzle of caramel and some mini marshmallows and it's pure heaven. I hope to be making this daily very, very soon!
