Xbox Themed Cake for a Groom
This Xbox-themed Cake was designed for a fun-loving couple who wanted to add a little humor (and a whole lot of personality) to their big day. With a classic textured buttercream finish and a custom topper that says it all — “GAME OVER” — this cake brought smiles, laughs, and maybe a few knowing nods from fellow gamers in the crowd.

Whether you’re an XBOX fan or a fan of all video games or just appreciate a good XBOX cake with a sense of humor, this one’s a winner! This cake was for the groom (groom’s cakes are super popular in the South), but you could do the same design for a wedding cake.
You could go with smooth buttercream, add another tier or two – maybe cover it in fondant (or not) and add a black ribbon border. Suddenly, it’s an elegant wedding cake with a really unexpected fun topper!

This two-tiered cake is frosted in textured vanilla buttercream and topped with a playful groom-and-bride figurine found here on Etsy. The cool thing about this topper is that it can be customized in so many ways.
The groom is lounging with a controller in hand, Xbox nearby, soda on the floor — and a big screen behind them flashing “GAME OVER” in bold green letters! Perfect for the couple who loves gaming (or doesn’t take life too seriously 😉).
When you click over to Etsy, you can customize this with a different gaming system (10+ options). You can also choose the hair color for both the bride and the groom and hairstyles!

This cake is a simple textured buttercream design and the only adornment was the fun characters on top of the cake with the Xbox.

Of course, this could’ve been white fondant instead of buttercream if the clients had preferred a more polished look. And it can be any flavor you like – my favorite being chocolate cake with the white icing on the outside.
