After finishing up my post the other night, the desire to write just started flowing. I’m so glad I made myself sit down and do it. Since then I’ve been updating old posts, pinning ideas like crazy, and just getting more and more back in “the mood” to blog. So, with Easter not too far away, I thought I’d do a quick post about this sweet little Easter Egg Nest Cake.
I’ve shared this Easter Egg Nest Cake before, but not with all of the details so I thought I’d do that today. This is a cake that anybody can make and it’s sure to impress your guests or customers! You can seriously decorate it in 10 minutes (or less)!
It’s covered with vanilla buttercream. I smoothed it with a bench scraper (this is my favorite one) and Viva Paper Towels but you could easily leave it rustic looking and it would be just as impressive!
After it crusted, I added the edible Easter grass and malted milk eggs. I was able to find both of those at Walmart, but you can also get them at Amazon or probably at drug stores or other grocery stores with a good Easter candy selection.
If for some reason you can’t find the malted milk eggs or you don’t like those, there are dozens of different kinds of Easter Egg shaped candies that you could use for this cake including Easter M&M’s, jelly beans, Cadbury Mini Eggs, etc.
The cake was just so easy-peasy, but oh so pretty! Don’t you think?!
