Gifts for Men in Their 30s
Finding the perfect gifts for men in their 30s isn’t always easy. They’ve outgrown “just for fun” gifts, but don’t want only practical ones either. This list of thoughtful, helpful, and fun ideas will help you find a great gift, whether you’re shopping for a husband, best friend, boyfriend, brother, or friend.

Gifts for Men in Their 30s
Since about 99% of my readers are women… and we shop for other people waaay more than we shop for ourselves, I thought it would be fun – and hopefully useful – to give you some gift ideas for the men in your life. Specifically, gifts for men in their 30s.
Buying gifts for men in their 30s can feel tricky. They’re usually past the stage of wanting just anything fun (like video games or card games), but not quite in the phase where practical-only gifts make sense either. At this age, many men are balancing careers, families, and hobbies, so the goal is to find something thoughtful, useful, and maybe even a little indulgent.
When I shop for the men in my life (my husband, brothers, and sons), I try to think of a practical gift (that’s just who I am), but also a unique gift that they will love. A man in his 30s may be setting up his dream workspace, diving into fitness or outdoor hobbies, or suddenly developing strong opinions about the finer things. The right gift doesn’t have to be expensive. It just needs to show that you’ve noticed what he enjoys and how he spends his downtime.
Gift Guide for Men’s Gifts
In this gift guide, I’ve pulled together great options that cover a wide range of personalities and interests for a 30-year-old man. Or a man of any age really – these gifts are pretty timeless (and ageless). Whether you’re shopping for a husband, brother, friend, or coworker, these gifts for men in their 30s will strike the right balance of fun, useful, and meaningful.
I know that may seem like a strange thing to write about on a baking blog, but you know… maybe not. It can be really hard shopping for men – especially coming up with thoughtful gift ideas that are unique or useful, that’s not a tie or socks or a tool (although I do have one tool on my list).
And these are good gifts. Every single gift I’ve listed here is currently in my home being used by my guys. These are gifts I’ve personally given to the men in my life, which have received overwhelmingly fantastic reviews. Things I hope the men in your life will also use and love!
So here we go….

Anker Portable Bluetooth Speaker
For the music lovers, you cannot go wrong with a bluetooth speaker. My oldest son bought this smart speaker for my husband for Father’s Day this year and he absolutely loves it. He uses it in our Mustang. We use it for homeschooling. It’s small enough to drop in my purse (although heavy) but it puts out clear, beautiful sound and easily connects to my laptop, our cell phones and the kids Kindles. It’s one of the best gift ideas for men of any age. Want something smaller? We also love these JBL Speakers and all the fun, vibrant colors – I have a purple one!

Hanks Belts
A few years ago I bought my first Hanks belt for one of my sons and I’ve been hooked ever since. These belts are full-grain leather and they come with a 100 year warranty. Yes – 100 years. There are a variety of colors, styles, widths, and thicknesses – so you can truly find a belt in any style and the perfect size for your man. I’ve since bought several more of them for other men in my life and they’re always a hit.

Mission Belts
Before I discovered Hanks Belts, I initially bought a set of these Mission Belts for my husband when he was in his 30’s and he loved them! And then my son’s started “borrrowing” them on a regular basis – so I bought them one. And this past month… I bought one for my Daddy for a Father’s Day gift. He loves his just as much. They come in dozens of colors and they’re adjustable. The buckles are interchangeable and you can cut them to size. They’re awesome belts. My husband has even put in a request for a new buckle in the gunmetal color.
Warthog V-Sharp Knife Sharpener
I bought my husband one of these knife sharpeners many, many Christmas’ ago and he still uses it all.the.time. I also bought one for my Daddy the next year – he loves it too! They’re fantastic, and if your guy uses a knife often (or you want him to sharpen any stainless steel blade for you), this is one of the best gifts!

Swissmar Mandoline Slicer
Richy, my husband, loves to cook. And I can’t remember why I initially bought this for him, but it was a HIT! It can slice and dice an onion in record time with no tears. We’ve also used it to shred, slice, and dice a wide variety of other veggies. It’s a kitchen tool he can’t live without now.

Shiatsu Kneading Back Massage Pillow with Heat Balls
Okay – I know this thing looks like an alien. And let me admit – I bought it for myself, not my husband. But we both have frequent and severe back pain. And when I read a review about this crazy looking pillow, I ordered one a whim (on a night when my back pain was especially bad). But when it got here, he ended up using it way more than me. And I’m so glad we have it!! It’s the best thing (gadget) we’ve ever bought to help aleviate backp pain!
My Pillow
I recently overheard a friend making a joke about the My Pillow pillows. I understand that the ads are a little cheesy and I understood her teasing. But I immediately came to the defense of these pillows. The hubby and I both have one and they’ve been lifesavers for us.
I owned, at one time, probably 10 different pillows. Not one of them was comfortable or helped with my neck/back pain. But then out of desperation a couple of years ago, I ordered a set of these. Mostly for me, but there was a “deal” if I bought two, so I did. And we will never sleep on another pillow. The hubby and I both love them and believe they’re worth every penny! A new pillow is always an ideal gift – no matter your age!
Tactical Flashlights
My husband, sons, brothers and Daddy all love the great outdoors. They’re hunters, fishers, and they work in the yard and on the cars all the time. And they all have flashlight collections. Tactical flashlights are a recent favorite, but I seriously don’t think you could go wrong buying any kind of flashlight for a man. They love the lights – and they are perfect for an active person, an avid traveler (keep one in the car), or really any guy who appreciates being prepared and having the right tool within reach.

Porter-Cable Oscillating Multi-Tool
When writing this list, I asked Richy which gifts I’ve given him over the years that he loves the most. First he named the Mission Belts above, then he said this tool. I’m sure you’re already seeing a pattern here, but I bought this tool for my husband and my Daddy and they both love it! I know Richy has used it to strip floors, cut nails, make special wood cuts, sand, grind and more! It’s truly a “multi” tool and it’s one of his favorites! I bought it almost 5 years ago and at this minute, it’s sitting by our front door for a project he’s going to work on tomorrow. If your guy is a “tools” junkie, this is one he’ll love to add to his collection.

Leather Sachel or Tote Bag
My oldest son, who is almost 30, is a bit of a hipster/artist type. When he graduated from high school (homeschool) several years ago and started apprenticeship school, I wanted to get him a really nice bag for his books and art supplies. Since he doesn’t attend a typical college (he works 40 hours a week and has class one night a week), he didn’t need a backpack. So I stepped up my game and bought him this bag.
The best part? It’s more than 10 years old now and he still carries it everywhere with him daily. Guys will love that this durable bag is big and wide (just the right size with plenty of room for books and a laptop and art supplies) and it’s held up beautifully and it’s such a nice, classy, masculine gift. It was well worth the investment and I don’t see him replacing it anytime soon. Note: the exact bag I bought him is no longer available, but this one is very similar and is the same brand. It’s the perfect combination of a personal style and practicality. Itt would be the ultimate 30th birthday gift for a guy settling into his career too!

Cirkul Water Bottle
This water bottle was on one of my son’s wish list for months. It’s great for adding some flavor to your water for early morning runs or the ride to work. And it’s been one of his favorite gifts ever. It’s a great choice for the active guy in your life or any guy who wants to drink more water!
Okie-dokie. If I think of anything else, I’ll come back and update this list.
I really hope you’ve found something on this list that helps you with your shopping this year. What unique gifts do you love to give the men in your life? Leave me a comment!!

Tozo Wireless Earbuds
These noise-canceling earbuds are a favorite of all the men in my family. They wear them when they cut the grass, play video games, or just to drown out the noise in the house when they need to focus. They’d be perfect for a new dad who needs to work from home and is one of the best tech gifts for any guy in his 30s.

Hi Rose. First off, congratulations on your new home. Second, these gift ideas are great, thank you. On a note about the blue tooth speaker, if you don’t have them already, the Anker quick charge car adapters are the bomb. We love them and they do what they say, quick charge in a vehicle. Reasonably priced too and found on amazon.com. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Oooh, I’ll have to check out that quick charge adaptor! Thanks & Merry Christmas to you as well 🙂
Hi Rose!
I stopped reading your post when I got to the back massager! I immediately ordered it for my husband and went back to reading the rest of it. This is just what he needs and I was about to get him something he doesn’t need. Thank you!Thank you! Hope you’re not getting too beat up with cake orders! I decided to not do any during December so I can focus on having a great holiday with my family this year. I know I’m missing out financially but you can’t replace the value of quality family time especially on the holidays! Stay blessed!!!
That’s awesome Sharan! So glad to have helped 🙂 I only have/had 3 orders for Dec. One wedding the first weekend (already one) and one on December 30, then one big cupcake order. It’s SO nice to have lots of downtime and be able to enjoy the season… or in my situation, we’re taking the time to move into our new home <3
