        1. After the sugar reaches 302°, remove it from the heat and slowly stir it until most of the bubbles disappear (before dipping the apples). If you get get most of the bubbles out of the pan, you won’t have nearly as many (or any) on the apples.

  4. These apples look so pretty. I have a question. I made these apples, the colors were bright orange, pink, & yellow and I also added some sprinkles to them, my problem was that they came out with lots of bubbles not smooth and pretty like yours. What am I doing wrong? Why am I getting so many bubbles? Without the sprinkles they looked ugly.

  5. I’ve made these before and everybody loved them! I was wondering if you could use the toffee for anything else? There are people who love the colour but don’t like candy apples? Do you think you could do dipped nuts or something similar? Excuse my ignorance around candied products – I’m more of a baker than maker of confectionary.

      1. Good point Rose! I’ll try both and see how it goes. I’ll keep you posted! Love your work, so many adorable ideas. Don’t always get around to making them but they’re pretty to look at in the meantime!
