This post was written almost 4 years ago, but I saw the Heart Marshmallows in Walmart recently and then I made a fresh new pin for this post a few days ago, so I thought it would be a perfect time to re-share these Marshmallow Heart Pops! They’re really easy to make and kids love them!
Today I’m going to share with you how to make easy-peasy Marshmallow Heart Pops!
I should’ve posted these last week, but I’m a busy, busy girl and I am a habitual procrastinator. I decided to do these because a) they’re fast and easy and my kids love them and b) my original post of Peppermint Marshmallow Dips is hugely popular so I figured readers would love these too!
Plus, it’s cold out side and I love to dip a chocolate covered marshmallow in my hot chocolate! Mmmm… I’m craving a mug of that right now!
Grab some of these cute heart marshmallows on your next trip to the store and you can make these in no time! Even if you can’t find the hearts, regular marshmallows would work – just use super cutesy Valentine’s sprinkles or even pink or red candy melts! Yum!
It took me only about 15 minutes to make these sweet treats for my kids and you can get all the simple ingredients at your local grocery store or Walmart. They’d be perfect for a classroom party or even as gifts for co-workers if you dress them up with a pretty ribbon, a mug and some hot cocoa!
Are you ready? Here’s what you’ll need:
- Marshmallows (the heart ones are super cute!)
- Chocolate (white, dark, milk… whatever suits your fancy!)
- Lollipop sticks (or coffee straws)
- Sprinkles
For the sprinkles, I love this Wilton Sweetheart Sprinkles mix and the mini hearts from CK.
I took the picture of the coffee straws, but ended up using lollipop sticks after the coffee straws wouldn’t stand up for a picture (shame on them!!). You can see all the instructions over on my Peppermint Marshmallow Dips post, but here’s the general idea.
You put the marshmallows on a stick, then dip them in the melted chocolate or almond bark or even candy melts. Then hold them over a plate and sprinkle with various sprinkles…. You could use them (on coffee straws) to stir hot chocolate (super yummy!!) or just eat ’em right off the stick! That’s what we do!
Don’t forget… I have more details over on my original Peppermint Marshmallow Dips post – including how to turn these into a fantastic gift!
Happy Valentines Day!!
