With Christmas just around the corner, I've got cookies on my mind and these cake mix Butter Pecan Cookies are delicious and chewy and insanely easy to make! Adding cream cheese frosting and freshly toasted pecans on top take them over the top and make them irresistible!
It's finally NOVEMBER... and I could not be more excited about Thanksgiving and Christmas this year. More than ever, I feel like we could all use a little (or a LOT of) holiday joy!
To get us all in the mood, I've partnered up with some other amazing bloggers to publish a series of posts this month for Homemade Holiday Inspiration!
Each week I'll share a post filled with recipes, crafts, decorating ideas, and more! I'd encourage you to check out all the posts, click through and bookmark a few that you want to make this Christmas!
It's always fun to try something new and I'm sure your family and friends will love it! We're kicking it off with the best category ... desserts!!
Okay, maybe not "the best" but you know... desserts are my thing so I have to say that.
Butter Pecan Cookies
Anything Butter Pecan flavored makes me think of my Daddy. Butter Pecan Ice Cream is his most favorite flavor and has been for my whole life. So if I see ice cream, a cake or cookies that are Butter Pecan flavored, I'm immediately thinking about Daddy.
These days he watches his sugar intake pretty closely so he rarely eats his beloved Butter Pecan but that doesn't mean he doesn't enjoy a scoop every now and again.
Anyway... these cookies are so easy to make. Add them to your holiday baking list and you will not regret it!

Step by Step Instructions for Butter Pecan Cookies
Preheat your oven to 350°F. Place your cake mix, eggs, and oil into a large mixing bowl.
Mix until well combined. (It makes the perfect dough.) Knead into a large ball.
Break off pieces of dough and roll into about 1 inch balls.
Place on a greased cookie sheet and flatten down.
Bake on 350 for 8 to 10 minutes. I like my cookies very soft, so I did 8 minutes.
Frost with cream cheese frosting and chopped pecans (if desired!).
This is my preferred cream cheese frosting recipe. It's very basic and so easy to pull together. You can also use canned frosting if you like, but the homemade kind is a million times better!
Serve and Enjoy!
