I am a die-hard cream cheese lover. I'll eat it with, in, or on anything. Cream cheese buttercream is a staple in my cake business so having an Easy Cream Cheese glaze recipe in my recipe collection seemed necessary too!
In fact, I've actually had this recipe in my pocket for awhile but I've never dedicated a post to it... until today.

When I initially made this Lemon Poppyseed Bread, I used a simple powdered sugar glaze. But next time, I wanted to really make it over the top, so I used this cream cheese version, and WOW... it's delicious!

Equipment Needed
This part is easy. At the very least you'll need a small or medium-sized bowl and an electric mixer. You could use a whisk if you really wanted, but it would be more work getting the cream cheese really smooth.
Beyond that, you might also want a squeeze bottle or spoon - or even a spatula to spread the glaze if you make it really thick.
- Mixing Bowl
- Measuring Spoons
- Hand Mixer
- Squeeze Bottle (optional)
- Spoon (optional)
- Offset Spatula (optional)

How to Store Cream Cheese Glaze
This cream cheese glaze is good at room temperature for up to 8 hours. After that, you'll want to keep it in a sealed bowl in the fridge for up to 3 days. I mean - not that it'll last that long. If it does, grab a spoon and eat it for dessert all by itself 😉
