Storage Directions: What to do with Leftover Meatballs
I don't know about you but we never have leftover meatballs after football games or holiday parties. But if you do, here are some tips and ideas for you.
Refrigerator - while you'll want to follow the instructions for specific recipes, for most cooked meatballs, you can store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat them in the microwave.
Freezer - again, follow specific recipe instructions but in general, cooked meatballs can be stored in an airtight container (with or without sauce) for up to 3 months.
When you take the meatballs out of the fridge or freezer, if you want to mix things up, you can make meatball sliders, a meatballs sub or even a meatball pizza. My kids actually just love to finish them off as an easy snack.
