How to Make Fondant Pig Face Cupcake Toppers {Farm Animal Cupcake Toppers Series, Part 2}

Today I’m sharing How to Make Fondant Pig Face Cupcake Toppers. You can also see how to do sheep, cows, and chicks here:  Farm Animal Cupcake Toppers Series (just scroll through all the posts!).

If you have a pig themed party, be sure to check out my Pig Smash Cake! It’s easy to do and super cute!!

PS. I’d love it if you’d pin this post… just hover over the picture and the “Pin It” button appears in the upper right corner!

To do the fondant pig face cupcake toppers, you’ll need the following (shown in step 1):

The pictures are self-explanatory. Roll out the pink fondant and cut out 2″ round circles. Then cut out the oval (for the snout) and the teardrops (for the ears). I attach them with sugar glue to the circle circle. After that, I draw on the eyes and nose holes!! That’s it!

I’ve done other pigs but they’re all pretty much the same… you can see them on the Barnyard Full of Cupcakes post (warning:  old post with not-so-great pictures!) and the Barnyard Cupcakes with a Pig Smash Cake!

Do you have any questions about these cupcakes? Please feel free to leave a comment and I’ll help if I can!

  1. How far in advance do you make the cupcake toppers and do you store them in the fridge before you put them on your cupcake? This is my first time trying to make these any pointers would be appreciated. Thanks

    1. I’ve made them a couple of weeks in advance and you do NOT want to refrigerate them. I actually just store them at room temperature in a air-tight container out of the sun.

  2. Do you use anything to “glue” the pieces to each other’s. Also, how soon can I place them on a buttercream iced cake sheet cake ? I’m worried they will soften or bleed ?

      1. I’m attempting to make this for my two year old”s birthday this year in June. I would love to share the outcome with you. If that is ok with you….. 🙂
