Pumpkin Patches in Mississippi
A few years ago (more than I'd like to admit), my family, along with my best friend Kathy and her family (that's all of our kiddos), went to visit a fantastic pumpkin patch and corn maze together. It was the first time we had ever been to a pumpkin patch and we were hooked after that!
I thought it might be fun to explore a new or different pumpkin patch each year so I set out to list some of the best Pumpkin Patch Farms in Mississippi and surrounding areas!
See which ones are in your local area so you can go ahead and plan to visit and participate in upcoming events! Of course, this list is not comprehensive, but I've tried to round up the best pumpkin patches I could find to guarantee you have a great time!
If I've missed your favorite pumpkin patch, please leave me the name and/or link in the comments, and I'll add it to my list!

Louisiana Pumpkin Patches
These last two farms are not in Mississippi, but they're close enough that we (in Southern Mississippi) have visited them, so I felt they deserved a mention!
13. Mrs. Heather's Pumpkin Patch - Hammond, LA
Website: https://www.thfarms.com/pumpkin-patch
Ironically, I'll mention the one we visited last year, which was not in Mississippi but rather Hammond, Louisiana. If you live in southern Mississippi like I do, Mrs. Heather's Pumpkin Patch is still close enough to visit and well worth the trip!
We spent all day at this pumpkin patch and didn't run out of things to do! We took a picnic lunch; the kids played for hours, we walked a trail, let them do the kiddie zip lines, snapped lots of pics, did the corn maze, and more!
This farm also has a petting farm and offers face painting and photo ops! Even better, you can go back and visit in the spring and it's Mrs. Heather's Strawberry Farm!
14. Barn Hill Preserve - Ethel, LA
Website: https://www.barnhillpreserve.com/barn-hill-louisiana
It's another non-Mississippi pumpkin patch, but close enough for those in southern MS, and this one has lots of education opportunities! This was yet another field trip adventure for our homeschool group.
Barnhill Preserve in Ethel, Louisiana, is the go-to spot for family fun, especially known for its awesome Pumpkin Patch event every fall. It's a festival packed with all things fall and Halloween, making it the perfect place for families to enjoy picking their pumpkins.
But there's more to the Pumpkin Patch than just snagging pumpkins; it's loaded with fun stuff like hay rides, face painting, petting zoos, and a bunch of games for all ages. The preserve is home to so many unique exotic animals, giving kids a chance to get up close and personal, learning about different species in a fun way.
Updated for 2024. These last two pumpkin patches may not be open in 2024.

Additionally, the resort features dining options such as a buffet, steakhouse, tavern, and bakery. And I can tell you from first-hand experience that the food is some of the best you'll ever eat!

Are all of these in southern Mississippi? I'm from Louisiana and am not familiar with all of these places but if they are nearby, we may consider going. Maybe a map, showing all of the locations would be helpful. 🙂
Rose
They're all over Mississippi and two in Louisiana.

There is also one in Magnolia called critter crossing, I have never been but have been considering it because I have heard great things about it and it's not too far!! http://www.crittercrossingfarm.com/
